Island Dragway

Island Dragway is an NHRA sanctioned track in Great Meadows, NJ and has been in operation for over 50 years. Island Dragway has a rich racing history. Drag racing legend “Big Daddy” Don Garlits was the first to clock more than 200 mph in a dragster. He did it at Island Dragway in 1964. Jungle Jim Lieberman, Joe Amato and TV Tommy Ivo were among the other drag racing stars to visit the facility.
